"Yes I...WHAT?! What are you talking about?!" Remus asked, a little harshly. His face flushed a little bit, but he couldn't tell if it was out of anger or embarrassment.

Clover smacked her cheks, trying to smack some sense into her. It was a night of festivities. She should have fun! Dance! What has she been doing. She looked wildly around and spotted Marion and Remus. She ran over to them. "What? Leaving so soon!?" she asked, cheeks slightly flushed.

Hope stopped swinging Edgar. "I have never killed anyone, Aya! And I'm not planning on starting now!"

((Clover, how'd you spot them? They're already out of the room and slightly down the hall. They snuck out. They aren't with everyone else anymore.))
The boy chuckled at the indignation in Remus' voice. He walked in step with Remus towards the front, unless the other boy were to stop. "Oh, you did? I wasn't certain. She was sitting with Gideon and I through most of dinner, and I was hoping she'd bump into you at some point." Though Remus might consider these words rude, being meant to mock the other boy because Ayanna's time was spent mostly with the Hufflepuffs, Marion sincerely did not mean it this way, and his tone was not at all snarky. He actually seemed somewhat relieved at the thought that Ayanna had snagged a dance with the other boy.

"Actually, no, I didn't. I--" Remus started, and his blush now became a bright red out of embarrassment. One would never call Remus a ladies' man. He couldn't even get up enough courage to ask the girl he liked out for a day in Hogsmead, let alone ask her for a dance. He felt like bashing his head against something, and the pillar they just passed looked really good at this point in time.

The boy's smile faltered slightly, and he leaned against the massive door to push his way outside. "You didn't? Then what are you doing out here? Go dance and have fun before the professors break up the party." The door creaked open. Marion stood in the open doorway as the cool breeze caressed him. He turned back to face Remus, crossing his arms over his chest and smirking slightly. "No point in ending the night without so much as a dance." He winked and turned to make his way out.

"I dont dance," Remus said, blushing slightly. The truth was, he didn't know how to dance and wasn't about to make a fool of himself infront of the girl he liked.

((Oh...I didn't notice that.......o.k.))
Clover wandered over to Hope. "I'm going outside for a bit, just to cool off. I'll be back." she said, turning away. She walked out of the Great Hall and into the hallway leading outside. Her shoes shuufled along, sounding like mice running across the floor. The sound was magnified in the silent hall and short of creeped her out. She shuddered. She hates mice.

Marion leaned against the door frame, not turning back to look at Remus. He smirked, but the other boy really couldn't see that. "Maybe you should start. You don't have to know how, after all. I certainly looked enough of a fool that nobody would think you a bad dancer." He ran his fingers through his hair casually, and the wind caused the silky locks to billow out behind him.
"I think you should ask her to dance with you..." He shrugged slightly, turning to face Remus again. "But I'm nobody special, just another of her friends, and a fellow Hufflepuff." His smile was warm and friendly. "If you don't want to ask her to dance, that's your loss." With a playful salute he turned and slipped out into the crisp air. The door began to slowly creak shut.

"Wait a minute!" Remus called after Marion, rushing to catch the door before it closed. "I thought you liked her..."

The boy blinked, one hand still on the door as he had been trying to close it. He turned a serene smile to Remus, arching a brow slightly. "Who said that I don't?" Open, telling eyes met the other boy's, and it was obvious that he was telling the truth. He did like Ayanna--like that, and not just as friends. He met Remus' eyes, waiting to see how the boy would respond to his admittance.
((Heh, I really wanted Marion to be more like this after Winter Break, but it looks like it'll just happen before. Oh well! Have fun. *smirks* This should get interesting.))

((Ha ha...Sorry!)) "Excuse me?!" Remus asked, confused. "Then if you like why not YOU ask her to dance? Why are you tryinig to get me to dance with her?"

Clover had reached the crisp air. Finally. She shivered as the cool wind blew across her nearly bare shoulders. Sighing she began to hum a tune, music playing inher head. She breathed in the crisp air and smiled. Still humming her tune, she began to dance by herself. Ribbons floated around her and her skirt billowed out in the wind. She laughed out loud as the wind caught her hair. She was finally happy.

Aya yawned slightly, covering her mouth. "Man, I've never been this tired at this time of night! Maybe the cold air might wake me up," Aya said to herself, and wandered over to the door. When she reached the night air, she shivered, wrapping her arms around her for some warmth. She wandered over to a bench and sat down, looking up at the stars.

Edgar was a bit shocked when Hope started swinging him around like a mad woman, but he soon got over it and found himself laughing. Dancing was fun! Why hadn't he ever tried it before? With this new found exhilaration, he barely noticed that nearly all of their 'crowd' was leaving, or had already left. When Hope stopped, he glanced around and took in their absences. "Why is everyone leaving?" He asked no one in particular. He was feeling a little bolder as the night grew later. "The party only just started!" This statement, of course, was false. It had just begun for poor Edgar, but for mostly everyone else (apparently) it was nearing its end.
((I can almost taste the drama* brewing! A new love triangle! How exciting...))
