((Aya)) Aya started to shiver uncontrollably, so she decided to start to head in. She walked over to the door, still shivering, and opened it. She hit something behind it, and squeeked. She started apologizing a million times over.

Clover, spotting Marion and Remus, started running over to them. "Mar! Rem! Leaving already?!" she asked, oblivious to their important conversation she had interupted.

Students began leaving the dance, Cecilia and Malfalnda among them. "Well, that was a dud," Fall muttered to Cecilia. "Tell me about it," the older girl replied, and they left for the Slytherin common room together.
Edgar, on the other hand, remained on the dancefloor with Hope and some of his classmates. When Hope dipped him, he felt himself slip, falling backwards onto her rear end. His face turned red, and he felt his shyness creeping back into him like an unwanted spider crawling up his spine. He tried to cover it with a nervous laugh, and got back onto his feet. "I d-don't know what came over me," he uttered more to himself than to Hope. He rubbed the back of his head, unsure of what to do next.

"Oh!" Hope squeaked in surprise. "Damn. Sorry, Edgar, I've never dipped anyone before. I didn't relize how hard it would be! Are you alright?" As an afterthought Hope added,"That's the most common thing you and I talk about. You keep getting hurt around me..."

Edgar shrugged his shoulders. "It's okay. It doesn't help that I trip over my own feet..." Ed looked around at the thinning crowd. "Do you think It's time to leave yet?"

"I guess. Why? Are you getting tired?" Hope looked around to see if she could spot the time anywhere.

"No," Ed replied. "But a lot of people seem to be leaving."
((BTW, your signature is really cool!))

"I'll stay if you stay. Otherwise, I'm going to go." Hope said.

"Nah, I think I'll just head back to the common room," Ed said ((hehe)) as he grabbed a butterbeer and took a sip. Dancing sure does make one thirsty. "There isn't much left to do, anyway..." He scratched his head, not wanting to just leave, because it might seem rude or something... I have no idea what I'm doing... ((Please, please. Hold the applause, everyone. This is my 1,000th post! WEEEE!!! *does a happy dance similar to the one she did earlier*)) P.S. Go here movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808475610/hmg to watch GoF movie clips and trailors!

"Since we're going to the same place, want to go back together?" Hope asked.

"Alrighty then," said Edgar as he stuck out his arm in a gentlemanly fashion so Hope may take it. "Shall we proceed?" He chuckled.
((Gah, I hate that word. 'Chuckled'. Reminds me of Chucky. Which reminds me of that evil doll, Chucky, in "Child's Play". *Shivers*))

((Wow.))
Hope took Edgar's arm. "We shall." She laughed, then started to walk.

Edgar led Hope out of the Great Hall. "Well, that was more fun than I expected it would be," he said to Hope as they left the ball/feast/thing. Feeling a need to make pointless conversation, Edgar spoke again. "So," he bagan. "Are you staying here for the holidays or going home?"

"Staying here. I don't like my 'parents' all that much. Besides, all my friends are staying. I might as well..What about you?" Hope asked. She didn't feel the need to discuss her family history...
